Transportation Agencies: Bridging the Gap

This session will explore the differences between a short-range focus of asset management (meeting the minimum requirements of Federal Transit Administration Final Rule) and the longer-term focus (applied in the development of long-range transportation plans by MPOs and state DOTs). Representing the long-term focus is the Regional Transportation Authority of Northeastern Illinois, the transit funding and planning agency in the Chicago region.
